Why Jorginho and Alexia Putellas are elected as the players of the year by UEFA?

Uefa gave at the draw ceremony of the new season of Champions League the prices for best keepers, midfielders, attackers, coaches but also the prices of the best players of the year. Alexia Putellas of Barcelona and Jorginho of Chelsea are the players of the season. The price is awarded after the voting from coaches, journalists for the nominees. Putellas was the best midfielder of this season also.She has an outstading style of play in the attacking midfileder role, but also in the wings.Not only the goal in the Womens Champions League final against Chelsea, Alexia shows solidity with Spain also.She was very happy with the award. No doubt about Jorginho.His season is almost perfect in personal aspect.He is current champion of Europe with Chelsea and Italy. He lost his penallty in the final against England back in Euro 2020, but Italy won the roulette and are in top of Europe.Jorginho in very elastic in the centre of Chelsea’s middfield and this success is not casual. Of course for both athletes this is not the last price they get.Awards will come and they certainly will improve their level of game in their squads,  that now are different thanks to these player and their performances.
